KnockBoard Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information KnockBoard collects, how it's used, and your choices. KnockBoard is operated by Edwards Window Washing LLC ("we," "us").
What we collect
- Account information: your email address and password. Passwords are stored in hashed form by our login provider, and we can't read them.
- Information you enter: customer records (names, phone numbers, emails, addresses, services, prices, dates, and notes) and door-knocking records (the map position of a house, the result, and any sale details you add).
- Location: while the map is open, your phone's location is used to show your position. Your live location is used on your device to draw the dot and is not saved to your account. The map positions of the houses you pin are saved.
- Billing information: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive a customer ID, your plan status, and your renewal date. We do not receive or store your card number.
How we use it
- To run KnockBoard: sign you in, save your records, and show your map and customer list.
- To bill you and manage your subscription.
- To fix problems, keep the service secure, and answer your questions.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use your customer records for advertising.
Who else handles your data
- Supabase hosts our database and login system.
- Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.
- Map providers (Esri for satellite imagery, CARTO for street maps) receive the map area you're viewing, along with your IP address, when tiles load.
- GitHub Pages hosts the website, and code libraries load from public content delivery networks.
These providers have their own privacy policies. We share only what's needed to run the service, or when the law requires it.
Information about your customers
When you enter information about homeowners and other people, you are responsible for having a right to collect and store it, and for following the laws that apply to contacting them. We keep that information separate by account and use it only to run KnockBoard for you.
Who can see your data
Each account's records are protected so that other KnockBoard users cannot see them. Access by us is limited to what's needed to run and support the service.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account exists. If you ask us to delete your account, we'll delete your account and records, except what we must keep for billing, tax, or legal reasons.
Your choices
- You can edit or delete any customer or pin inside the app.
- You can cancel your subscription any time with the Manage plan button.
- You can ask us to give you a copy of your data or delete your account by emailing us.
- You can turn off location for this site in your phone's settings. The map will still work, but without your position dot.
Security
We use reputable providers and access controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
Children
KnockBoard is for adults and is not directed at children under 18. We don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
We may update this policy. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you in the app or by email. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
